MH was very attentive, informative and trustworthy. I went into hospital on Thursday lunchtime, hip replaced that afternoon, and back home on Saturday lunchtime. Healing was quick, only on paracetamol for 17 days- no need for anything stronger. And have been back to walking at my normal speed and distance since 7 weeks after the operation. MH thank you and all your team

I needed a hip replacement - after well over a year of very limiting pain / disability I underwent a hip replacement by Mr Hiigins. He gave me a full explanation of the plan for me including the fact that he would use a "posterior approach" because this is associated with a quicker recovery. The outcome could not have been better and true to his prediction I was back walking without a stick in six weeks. The post-operative discomfort was modest at most - just Paracetamol for a few days, no bruising, no swelling. I'm a very grateful patient - Thank you MH !

Mr Higgins did a right side total hip replacement. My hip pain has completely gone following the operation, 6 weeks on and I'm like a new person. This has been life changing for me, having been in severe pain for many years. Thank you Mr Higgins.

After suffering for so many years with left hip pain Mr Higgins stepped in at the last minute due to a lengthy waiting list with my current surgeon to have a right hip replacement. He made a very daunting experience, understanding and easy to understand. At my first following up I couldn’t thank him enough for finally ridding my of groin pain, if only I could say the same about my muscles!!

My first meeting with Mr Higgins was Mon 7th Feb 2022 and from the moment I met him he made me so at ease and although he had read my records, he still asked me questions and showed great interest in me and was very keen to replace my hip ASAP considering the pain that I was in. He made me feel that I was in safe hands and I was treated as an individual. My operation took place on 24th March 2022 and although I was very nervous as it was my first ever surgery ,Mr Higgins and all of his team were so understanding and could not have looked after me better. From the moment I arrived at the City Hospital’s Theatre admission Lounge to me leaving Harvey One Ward to go home I could not have been treated better. On May 16th 2022 I returned to see Mr Higgins for him to let me know that he was pleased with how I was doing and he would see me in 12 Months. I cannot speak more highly of Mr Higgins and his team. Although I’m still recovering, the hip pain is now none existent and the treatment that I have had, truly changed my life both mentally and physically.
